Flu Vaccine Clinic
Our clinic offers both a government and private flu shot. Government Vaccines are available for patients under the age of 5 or living with a chronic illness. For patients over the age of 65 the government provides a super vaccine in 2019. We run flu clinics throughout the flu season to make sure that everyone has the chance to be protected. Health Assessments
We provide ongoing Health Assessments and Chronic Disease Management for those individuals who meet Medicare criteria. Your GP may endorse your eligibility for this scheme and refer you to our Practice Nursing staff who have a supportive role in Care Planning/Assessments. Quit Smoking Clinic
Speak to your GP or our onsite pharmacist about our new 12 week quit smoking program.
The following facts provide an insight into just how dangerous smoking can be:
- Smoking kills half of all smokers who continue to smoke
- At least 1 in 4 of those who die are aged 35 – 69
- A smoker who doesn’t quit loses 10 years of their life on average
- Smoking is responsible for about 85% of lung cancers
- Smokers are:
20 times more likely to develop lung cancer.
2 to 4 times more likely to have a heart attack
1.5 to 2 times more likely to have a stroke - Smokers are generally more anxious, stressed and depressed than non – smokers
- Smoking causes premature skin ageing
- Smokers are more likely to lose their teeth
- Smoking cause erectile dysfunction
Antenatal Clinic
We have recently introduced a new Antenatal program to our surgery and are excited to help you along every step of your pregnancy journey. The aim of this program is to bring a stronger shared care connection between your midwife, your GP and yourself. This program will be run by our nurses with the support of your regular GP behind them. This allows your regular checkups to be more thorough and gives you that extra area of support should any concerns arise. Speak to your GP today about referring you to speak to one of our lovely nurses.
